Speech & Language Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation is a crucial first step for your child. The evaluation results help determine strengths and weaknesses in communication. The evaluation usually takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Prior to the evaluation, a new patient intake documents are required in order to obtain background information including social, birth, medical, developmental and social history. Testing will be based on the concerns by the parents/referring physician and your child's age. Following the evaluation, the speech-language pathologist will discuss the findings and interpretations.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy will follow the treatment plan created specifically for your child's needs. Therapy sessions may focus on early intervention services, receptive language, expressive language, and speech production/articulation. Our therapists work with the parents to provide an enriching experience for the children.
