Based primarily in McDonough, GA, Sovereign Therapy Center is a therapist owned holistic boutique private speech practice serving a variety of children in the metropolitan Atlanta community and surrounding suburbs since 2004. Sovereign Therapy Center specializes in offering affordable boutique speech therapy to school-age children. We also partner with trusted professionals including public and private school districts, charter schools, pediatricians, primary care physicians, audiologists, developmental psychologists, reading specialists, academic tutors, Dyslexia Specialists, Registered Dietitians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), Special Education Advocacy Specialists and social workers.

Dr. April Patterson, CCC-SLP.D has received the highest levels of education and training in the field of speech-language pathology. Dr. April Patterson received a Bachelors of Arts in Developing Communication Across the Lifespan with a minor in Sociology from Georgia State University, a Master's of Science in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology from Tennessee State University and a Clinical Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. April Patterson is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Georgia and California.

With over 20 years of experience in the field of speech language pathology, Dr. April has distinct speciality areas in language, articulation and teletherapy (Virtual) speech therapy in which she has received years of advanced education. Dr. April is passionate about the work she does, and she continually receives and offers training throughout the community in order to treat patients with the most innovative and supreme quality of care. Dr. Patterson is highly motivated, dedicated, and compassionate about helping you and your family. Dr. Patterson values collaboration with your child's pediatrician and other behavior health providers/specialists in order to help your child achieve their supreme potential.
